Acknowledging the insecurity of future food supply, Singapore has set out goals to transform its agriculture & aquaculture technology - to resolve the pressing need to dramatically increase food production while minimising ecological impacts.

With the scarcity of land in Singapore, the usage of technology to produce food with less space is vital in our local farms. Aquaculture Intensification - achieved through the technology transfer of water and management and nutrition of high-density culture - can be Singapore’s niche in the world’s marathon of feeding the world.

Besides being able to produce, concerns are raised about production practices and reduce aquaculture's environmental footprint. This has propagated the move from traditional flow-through systems to a controlled closed system for a 'Farm to Fork' traceability - with Food safety as the main concern.

Efficient utilisation of water, energy and space is vital in the Singapore economical and geographical landscape. Blue Aqua International has developed a cost-productive super-intensive culture method and farm system design capable of producing 600 tonnes of fish and 120 tonnes of shrimp annually within a limited land space of 1.5 hectares in Singapore.

This developed modular system will be replicated in Oman, Qatar, and the United Kingdom to extend our reach into sustainable food security, job creations, and other economies of scale.

The Global Blue Economy is expected to grow twice the rate of mainstream economy by 2030 and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
