Those of us who make our living on the oceans have a responsibility to protect them. That is a simple statement and an unarguable one. It’s my privilege to work for ocean health. It’s also part of my responsibility to enlist others to the cause. We must partner with the world’s companies, research institutions and NGOs to uncover breakthrough ideas that help us achieve the ultimate goal, not just the maritime sector.
And there will be more to come. There must be, from all of us. The ocean is too big to fail; we must all stand prepared to do our part.
